Black Lexicon

Creators and culture shapers through sophisticated slanguage, art, music, politics and everything else under the sun, Black folk are a beautiful thang! In this collection, we will pay homage to the many contributions diasporic peoples have contributed to the collective Black Lexicon. 

Of the many terms that are part of the Black American Lexicon, "Boughietto" is the one we have chosen to feature in our launch. We'll drop a little history, when we know it, for each word. In this case, boughietto was born in Detroit (like our company founder) at some point in the '90s (her high school years). 

What does it mean? Everything. It means beautiful. It means smart and classy with a lil edge. It means you know who your people are. It means being empowered to be uniquely you.
